Actor Refutes Anti-Vaxxer Position Following Voicing Controversial Coronavirus Film

Liam Neeson has provided his voice to a recent film that casts doubt on the efficacy of vaccinations and commends ex- cabinet secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Film's Contentious Origins

Named "Plague of Corruption," the film is inspired by a popular book co-authored by a controversial scientist, who rose to infamy during the health crisis for claims that Covid was caused by a faulty batch of the flu vaccine.

Her collaborator, the executive producer, has penned books with far-right radio host a known commentator. He took to social media celebrating Neeson's role in the film.

A Firm Rebuttal

A spokesperson for Neeson have provided a statement strongly denying claims that he subscribes to anti-immunization sentiments.

"Many understand that unethical practices can exist within the drug industry, but that cannot be confused with opposition to vaccines," the comment reads. "Liam has never been, and is not, against vaccines. His considerable work with the global charity highlights his long-held support for global immunisation initiatives."

The response added that the actor was not involved in crafting the project's messaging and that questions about its claims should be directed to the producers.

Central Assertions In the Documentary

As presented, the script spoken by Neeson includes several controversial points:

  • It claims that pro-immunization voices have called for "blind obedience" to health authorities.
  • It posits that "medical science has become deeply politicized."
  • Kennedy is featured stating, "The major issue with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
  • The film takes aim at Covid lockdowns, arguing they caused psychological harm that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • Regarding the immunizations, it references a perspective that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "risky trials."

Historical Context and Current Disputes

The film further cites a 2004 BBC documentary about AIDS medication trials on children, which was subsequently the focus of a correction by the corporation for violations of guidelines.

Last month, the political figure directed the national health agency to revise its long-held position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is also referenced in the documentary, even with a fresh analysis from the WHO confirming no such link has been found.

An Earlier Position of Support

Contrasting the documentary's tone, Neeson has formerly voiced strong support for vaccines in his capacity as a Unicef global ambassador.

Previously, he called vaccines as "a remarkable achievement," adding that "The debate about vaccines in lately has overlooked how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in our history."

The film ends with Neeson's voice stating, "This is not the conclusion of our narrative. It is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
