British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
