Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
A plane ferrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official statement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.
"The aircraft touched down based on standard procedures and everyone onboard, such as Pete Hegseth, is safe," a press officer stated in a social media post.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to Brussels when the incident occurred.
This occurrence is not the first time that a US military aircraft ferrying a high-ranking official has encountered equipment failures.
In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to head back to the US capital after experiencing a technical issue.
