Sebastian Coe has suggested that cross-country running and bike cyclocross stand a good chance introduced in the 2030 Winter Olympics in France, representing what may become the biggest overhaul of the Olympics in many years.

“I believe there’s a good chance it takes place,” remarked Sebastian Coe. “And I think, the timing is right at the right moment, because Kirsty is without a doubt ready to explore alternatives about the schedule, and what could move outside the arena, and that blend between winter and summer.”

Proposed Venue in the Alps of France

Sebastian Coe said that plans are in place for the cross-country and cyclocross events to be held on the shared track in the French Alps.

“This idea emerged out of a discussion I’ve had with David Lappartient in cycling,” explained Sebastian Coe. “I have long wanted to see off-road running included in on multiple grounds.
