On Monday, the court heard call records and evidence obtained from phones documented Ms Wandelt repeatedly requesting Madeleine's mother for a DNA test throughout the past two years.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - when she was three years old during a vacation in Portugal - is among the most publicized child disappearance cases and is still unsolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

One voicemail, presented in court, documented Ms Wandelt stating: "I realize I'm overweight and plain like Madeleine was, but I believe what I feel."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's recording stated: "What if there is a small chance that I am she? What happens next? Wouldn't that be significant for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I possess a living here in Poland, I just want to discover," the recording stated.

The jury was advised that through electronic messages, SMS messages and communications, Ms Wandelt requested a genetic test, sent childhood photos to her phone in a bid to demonstrate a similarity to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and asserted to have "memories" from a childhood with the McCanns.

The investigator, a data specialist with law enforcement who collated the information, advised the court there "showed no any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt additionally reached out to acquaintances of the McCanns, according to the call data.

On that date, Gerry McCann picked up a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "the wrong phone."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt deposited a voicemail on Mrs McCann's answerphone declaring "I won't give up and I will prove my position."
