The relatives of teenagers unaccounted for after a devastating inferno at a bar in a Switzerland's winter destination are facing an agonising period of uncertainty for answers and appealing for information about their family members online.

The fire devastated the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of the Valais region, in the small hours of January 1st. Verified images reveal the ceiling igniting as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.

Emergency services have stated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the fatalities of the fire, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and hurt another scores more. A spokesperson said on Friday that the majority of the injured have been identified, with work still underway to identify the remaining few.

In the waiting period, loved ones have been taking to online platforms to plead for any news about their missing relatives who were in attendance that fateful night.

Appeals for the Missing

The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, 16, are currently unknown, according to an heartfelt request from his family.

The who lives of a town near the city, told a publication that she had gone back to Lausanne to see if he was in the hospital, while his other parent did the same in Bern, but did not locate him.

"I'm living a nightmare, a horror. Either I find my son in the morgue, or I find him in critical condition. It's terrible," she told the paper.

She explained that some of his peers had been discovered with injuries covering a significant portion of their bodies. "There are no words; they endured an absolute nightmare."

The Italy's foreign ministry has indicated that six of its nationals remain missing.

Included in that group is Emanuele Galeppini, a 16-year-old promising athlete, who hailed from Genoa but now living in the UAE.

The Italian Golf Federation has stated that he is no longer with us, without directly referencing the fire, paying tribute to a "young athlete who carried with him passion and authentic values."

His father, is quoted as saying that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around the new year. An official spokesperson has clarified that a formal confirmation of his death is not yet.

Other Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is also unaccounted for. His parent explained that he had been on holiday but had ventured out with friends and ended up at the bar.

"A companion told me they fled after the fire erupted and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a certain point he they were separated," she explained, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his teachers commented, "He was known for his kindness and positive demeanor, combined with great responsibility. He would frequently ask if get me a coffee."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Greek and Swiss citizenship but lives permanently in Switzerland, was also present on New Year's Eve, according to reports.

Her brother has posted an urgent request online, saying the relatives has had "no information" regarding the 15-year-old or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.

Officials from her country of origin say they are closely watching the situation.
